YANITZ

ABOUT

Jake Yanitz Rubin, known professionally as Jake Yanitz and musically as YANITZ (yah-NEETS), is an artist, author, and hypnotherapist whose work centers on dehypnosis: seeing through what has been conditioned rather than adding something new.

Much of what people experience as fear, anxiety, limitation, and psychological struggle is reinforced by learned associations, inherited assumptions, identification with thought, and conclusions formed so early or repeated so often that they eventually stop feeling like conclusions at all. They simply feel true.

Jake’s work developed around an increasingly simple question: what happens when those assumptions are no longer automatically believed?

That question sits at the center of his writing, private work, music, and broader exploration of awakening.

From Anxiety to Awakening

Jake is the author of From Anxiety to Awakening, a book that begins with anxiety and gradually opens into a much larger inquiry.

Anxiety is often approached as a problem to control, manage, or eliminate. The book looks beneath the symptoms to the structures that sustain them: fear, resistance, the need for certainty, identification with thought, and the assumptions we carry about ourselves and the world.

As that inquiry deepens, the question changes. It becomes less about how to get rid of an unwanted internal experience and more about what, exactly, is having the experience in the first place.

That is the movement contained in the title: from anxiety to awakening.

Dehypnosis

After years of working as a hypnotherapist, Jake began to recognize something fundamental about the work he was actually doing.

He was not primarily hypnotizing people.

He realized he was dehypnotizing them.

We are already hypnotized long before we ever enter a hypnotherapy session. From the time we are born, we are programmed by fear, conditioning, conclusions formed in childhood, ideas about who we are and what we are capable of, assumptions about what other people think of us, and rules about how life is supposed to unfold.

Repeated long enough, these thoughts and beliefs stop feeling like programming. They feel like our reality.

Dehypnosis is the process of seeing through and fully releasing that conditioning.

This is subtraction, not addition. It is not about adding another identity or replacing one set of beliefs with a better set. It is about removing what has been learned, absorbed, and carried so that what was there before the conditioning can be recognized again.

The Original Blueprint Collective brings this into live dehypnosis and real conversation. Private work brings it into direct one-on-one experience.

YANITZ

As YANITZ, Jake explores much of the same territory through music.

YANITZ spans Progressive House, lo-fi, electronic, and symphonic music, with recurring themes of recognition, freedom, remembrance, identity, awakening, and the strangeness and beauty of being alive.

The music is not intended as an explanation of the work. It is another way into it.

Jake also creates through several distinct musical projects. HOLY DUST is his country and Americana project. YANITZOR is his hard rock and metal project. Under Jake Yanitz, he creates instrumental fusion combining flamenco guitar, hip-hop beats, ancestral textures, cinematic atmosphere, and exploratory sound.

The genres are different because the creative impulse does not arrive in only one form.

The Original Blueprint Collective

The Original Blueprint Collective is a live community for people interested in exploring this work more deeply.

Its name refers to something beneath the accumulated beliefs, identities, defenses, expectations, and psychological structures we acquire over a lifetime. Not a better version of the self that needs to be constructed, but something more fundamental that can be recognized when enough of what obscures it is seen clearly.

The conversations are direct. There is no requirement to adopt a particular philosophy, perform spirituality, or arrive at the same conclusions.

The point is to look.

One Body of Work

The book, music, private work, community, speaking, live experiences, and emerging visual work may appear to belong to different worlds, but Jake does not experience them that way.

They are different expressions of the same investigation.

What have we learned to believe?

What happens when we stop taking every thought, fear, role, and identity at face value?

And what remains when some of that begins to fall away?

Sometimes that inquiry happens in a room with one person. Sometimes it happens through a book. Sometimes through a conversation, a piece of music, a stage, or an image.

Jake’s intention is not to give people another identity to adopt or another belief system to defend. It is to create what genuinely wants to be created, to follow the inquiry wherever it leads, and, wherever possible, to help people see a little more clearly.

You already know.
May this work be a reminder of that.
